James is litigation and transactional attorney. He is a member of the Litigation practice group although he also works on corporate transactions. James focuses his practice on complex litigation matters. Despite this focus he has a wealth of experience in real property law, criminal law, corporate law and governance, and municipal law.
James brings a unique set of skills and experience to the Firm. He is a United States Army veteran. He served with elite 101st Airborne division for more than four years, deploying twice in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, achieving the rank of sergeant and position of Team leader. James has a keen interest in veteran’s matters serving as a member and ultimately assistant executive director of the Albany Law School’s Veteran’s Rights Project.
Prior to joining the Firm James had a wide variety of legal experience. He interned at the Schenectady District Attorney’s Office in their appellate bureau, he worked closely with Prosecutes on several Special Victim’s Unit Felony cases. James has also worked in general practice firm as well as the New York State Court of Claims, dealing in issues of real estate law, bankruptcy, tort law, and municipal government law.
